I am a candidate from a non-EU country, how can I apply?

I am an international student; am I exempt from registration fees?
Under the decision of the Board of Directors dated December 15, 2021, international students who are not nationals of a State belonging to the European Union, a State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco, or the Province of Quebec, referred to as "non-EU" students preparing for a national diploma, will pay the same fees as national students for the academic year.
I am a candidate in the first year of a Master’s program but I missed the application period on "Mon Master." Is it possible to apply for M1 through another procedure?
For equal treatment, it is not possible to accept candidates who have not gone through Mon Master.
I wish to cancel my administrative registration.
All registrations at the University of Strasbourg are annual and definitive.
- If I leave the university before October 31, I must submit a cancellation request (even if I am on a scholarship).
- If I leave the University of Strasbourg after October 31, I can submit a late cancellation request.
I complete the form carefully and legibly and send it to my academic services, accompanied by supporting documents (employment contract, medical certificate, etc.).
WARNING: If I submit my cancellation request after November 1, it will be reviewed by the exemption committee. A positive or negative response will be sent to you by postal mail.
What is the required language level to apply?
A B1 level in French is required to follow a study period at the University of Strasbourg as part of an exchange. To know the reference levels of the mandatory tests, refer to the CampusFrance note.

- Bachelor's: €170
- Master's: €243
- Double Degree (except CMI): Bachelor's: €113 / Master's: €159

Who is concerned by the CVEC?
All students enrolled in initial training or apprenticeship in a higher education institution must obligatorily pay the Contribution for Student and Campus Life (CVEC) before registering at their institution.
However, it is not required for students enrolled in professionalization contracts, in Continuing Education (FC), or for any public in continuing education.

Payment is made by payment or exemption on the site MesServices.Etudiant.gouv.fr.
How to pay the CVEC?
Payment of the CVEC 2024-2025, amounting to €103, is done online at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr.
- Log in or create an account on MesServices.Etudiant.gouv.fr.
- Indicate your city of study.
- Pay your CVEC, either by payment or exemption.
- Obtain your certificate, to present to your institution during registration. Entering the CVEC number is mandatory during online registration.
How do I activate my ERNEST account?
If you are already a student at the University of Strasbourg, activation is automatic from one year to the next.
If you are enrolling for the first time at the University of Strasbourg, you must activate access to your Digital and Social Work Environment (Ernest).
Note that to activate Ernest, you will need your I.N.E number.
Attention: For security verification reasons, your digital account is created within 60 minutes after your online administrative registration. Thank you for your patience.
You can find your I.N.E on your high school diploma transcript (if you are French), on any transcript or proof of success printed from a French university, or in the summary available at the end of your administrative registration.
If you do not have an I.N.E number, the payment of your administrative registration will generate an I.N.E from the University of Strasbourg.
Activation of Ernest is mandatory for you to submit supporting documents on the digital service PJWEB.

How do I obtain my certificate of enrollment?
After your administrative registration and payment of your registration fees, you can download your certificate of enrollment on ERNEST - My file.
When will diplomas be available?
Diplomas are issued several months after graduation (approximately 4 to 6 months). Graduates are informed by email by the academic services, and the information will also appear on the faculty website.
How do I retrieve my diploma?
The holder must present a valid identity document (national ID card, passport, driver's license). The following are not considered valid: student card, social security card, transport card...
Diplomas are available at the reception of the academic services, office 143 (opening hours are listed on the faculty website).
A third party can collect the diploma on your behalf. The person presenting must carry a power of attorney, the diploma's proof of success (copy), or the diploma request form corresponding to your situation duly completed, along with a valid identity document of the diploma holder and their own valid ID (front and back). These documents will be requested at the time of collection.
For a request to send a diploma by post:
- You must complete the original diploma request form.
- Then send it via the student assistance form.
Requests that meet the procedure will be prioritized. Any incomplete request will result in processing delays. No diploma will be sent electronically (digital version).
How do I retrieve my transcript and/or proof of success?
You will be informed by email by your academic manager about the availability of these documents, which you can then collect at the reception of the academic services, office 143, during opening hours.
For a request to send a transcript and/or proof of success (by email), a request must be sent via the student assistance form.
How do I request a transfer of my academic record?
I wish to continue my studies at another French university, so I must request a transfer of my academic record.
How do I proceed with my administrative registration with the Faculty?
If your application has been validated on Ecandidat, you must pay the Contribution for Student and Campus Life (CVEC). You can then proceed with your online administrative registration.
It is strongly recommended to pay online by credit card, in one payment or in three payments (under certain conditions) via the secure payment site Paybox Services.
If you choose deferred payment, you can only pay by check, and the processing of your registration will take longer; you will need to send a check to the address indicated in the email received at the end of registration.
You will then submit the required supporting documents via PJweb.
Finally, you can collect your student card (pass campus) from the academic services, office 143 (starting in September).
How do I proceed with my educational registration with the Faculty?
Educational registration will take place from the start of the academic year (useful information will be communicated as the academic year begins).
What to do if I am absent from an exam?
In case of absence from an exam or assessment, you must imperatively submit or send by email a justification (medical certificate, for example) to the academic services within a strict deadline of 7 days.
I lost my campus pass; how do I obtain a new one?
For any new card request, you must complete the following form.
How can I get reimbursed for my tuition fees?
I am a beneficiary of a scholarship awarded by the State (CROUS), but I could not present my conditional scholarship notification during my registration. I had to advance the registration fees. The reimbursement will be granted upon presentation of documents justifying my situation.
I completed at least 100 hours of temporary work at the University of Strasbourg as a temporary worker during the period from August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022 / temporary worker during the period from August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023. How can I obtain an internship agreement (mandatory or voluntary internship)?
Bachelor's and Master's students can request their internship agreements online via their Ernest (Mozilla Firefox).
After logging into Ernest, search for "PStage," and the search engine will suggest Pstage.
Before starting the entry in Pstage, regardless of the type or level of the internship, a logistics sheet must be completed and sent to the internship and apprenticeship administration.
How to set up an apprenticeship contract?
To set up an apprenticeship contract, the pre-registration form on the CFAU website must be completed.

How to obtain a professionalization contract?
You must contact the Continuing Education Service (SFC) of UNISTRA: sfc-contact@unistra.fr.

Yes, this is possible. However, any apprentice in a Professional License or Master's program who wishes to be absent from training must request an absence authorization by completing the form (available for LPRO and Master).
