Cosmology:
===============

The « cosmology » part (8 hours) is dedicated to the fundamentals of cosmology for high-energy physicists. The aim is to provide a minimal background in cosmological matters, with a focus on mechanisms and principles rather than mathematical and theoretical technicity.

We will cover the following subjects:

-- The general properties of the Universe
-- Distances in cosmology, Hubble Law
-- Friedmann Equations and expansion
-- FLRW metric
--The concordance model
-- Relic particles and Freeze-Out
-- Statistics of relativistic and non-relativistic species
-- Baryogenesis
-- Primordial nucleosynthesis 
-- Recombination and CMB

Cosmic radiations:
===============

The « Cosmic radiations » part (6 hours) is dedicated to the description of cosmic-rays from astrophysical sources, ranging from protons, nuclei to high energy gamma-rays, neutrinos and gravitational waves. The aim is to provide a minimal background to understand their origins and interconnections, from the source (fermi acceleration processes in particular) to the detectors (interaction in the atmosphere, detection), emphasizing the importance of multiwavelength astronomy.

It will include descriptions of existing direct or indirect detection experiments, from the Fermi satellite to the HESS gamma-ray telescope and Pierre Auger Observatory, for instance, for cosmic-rays and high energy gamma-rays, and end with a brief discussion on multimessenger astronomy, which is the main topic of the associated elective lecture.
