Description
In this course the student should acquire the basic concepts of turbulence:
- Definition of turbulence;
- Reynolds averaging;
- Boussinesq concept;
- Turbulent boundary layer;
- Modelling : form 0 to 7 seven equations modelling, Large Eddy Simulation, Hybrid RANS/LES modelling;
- Best practice guidelines in turbulence modelling.
Compétences visées
- To understand the concepts of turbulent flow;
- To assimilate the turbulence modelling from 0 to 7 equations.
