Syllabus
I-General properties of bound and collision states for a realistic one-dimensional potential;
II-General properties of bound and collision states for a central potential;
III-Description of a two-body collision, centre-of-mass reference frame;
IV-Definition of the differential and total cross section in the case of elastic scattering;
Phase shift method;
V-Mathematical properties of the S matrix. Interpretation of resonant states;
VI-Special case of the rectangular attractive potential calculates bound states of phase shifts.
VII-Verification of Levinson's theorem.
