Introduction to atomic and molecular physics and light-matter coupling.

I.1 Hydrogen and hydrogenoid atoms

I.2 Fine and hyperfine structures

II-Many-electrons atoms

II.1 Identical particles and Pauli exclusion principle.

II.2 Central-field approximation: the helium and the periodic table.

II.3 Mean-field approximation: Hartree-Fock method.

II.4 Correlation effects: the Russel-Sanders coupling scheme.

III. Interactions between atoms and electromagnetic fields

III.1 Tensor Operators and Wigner-Eckart Theorem.

III.2 Multi-poles and selection rules.

III.3 Zeeman effect and Stark effect.

III.3 Absorption and emission.

III.4 Coherent coupling: Rabi oscillations and optical Bloch equations.

IV-Introduction to master equation and the dynamics of open systems in the case of a two level system.
